bling bling

I have offically decided that I am an over-spender. Everytime I make more money, I spend it...ALL OF IT.  I am horrible at saving and always have been. But things are about to change. I really really want to buy a house soon, and in order to buy a house..I've heard you need money?  Luckily I have a steady freelance gig that pays great and I only have to do it 3 days a week! Also I am in process of putting together my design/letterpress portfolio and yes finally a website. So hopefully that will generate more "Saving" income. In the meantime, I have organized all my finances through Mint.com, if you haven't heard of this website, you should seriously check it out. Its AMAZING, everything is at your fingertips, back accounts, credit cards, investments, ect..they also have an app for your iphone which is super handy. Another great feature is that they send reminders if you are about to go over any of your budgeted amounts, which will be really helpful.

Now lets be honest, I have a certain lifestyle,  so this "budget" is probably not as budgeted as most people, but you have to remember, we don't have kids and right now in our lives we want to enjoy going out with our friends and traveling. So this budget fits my lifestyle. I knew going into this that I still wanted to be able to enjoy those things, but this time with a little bit more balance, and hopefully a lot more savings. If anyone has money saving suggestions please send them along, I am just learning so any advise is greatly appreciated..Moral of the story?? I guess money doesn't really grow on tree's....but perhaps our house will ;-)
